MID-YEAR REPORT:

TIPS & REWARDS RUNNING WELL AHEAD OF LAST YEAR!

Halfway through the 2007-08 fiscal year, tips to Crime Stoppers are running well ahead of the same period last year and rewards are heading for a new record. Here are the official numbers for the six-month period October 1,2007 through March 31,2008 (as reported to the Florida attorney-general's office):

                      Total Property Value Recovered                   $ 32,600

                      Total Value of Drugs Seized                          $ 25,000

                      Total Value Recovered                                  $ 57,600 

              Since January, 2000, tips  to Crime Stoppers have resulted in 

              the arrest of 2,874 wanted persons in Marion County !
