DEPUTY AND CITIZEN SHOT IN PARKING LOT ON MARICAMP RD. We need your help.

On December 10, 2023, at approximately 2:15 a.m., a shooting occurred outside of Club Time, located at 9355 SE Maricamp Road. During the shooting, Marion County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Kenneth Warner and a citizen, Ricard Brown, were shot. Deputy Warner and Brown are expected to recover fully from their injuries.

We know that there were over 100 individuals in that parking lot; someone saw something. Please find the courage to come forward and let us know if you saw anything suspicious or have any information about who may be responsible. The Florida Sheriff’s Association, in partnership with the Florida Office of the Attorney General, is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for a tip that leads to an arrest. If you wish to remain anonymous, a reward of up to $3,000 is available through Crime Stoppers of Marion County for any tip that leads to the arrest of the individual responsible for the shooting.
